Much more painting
For those who have never ventured that far, Building Stores is a cluttered upstairs room where the Warden keeps what he claims are useful things.  As a nice surprise for Brian, the walls were painted pink.  Sarah painted the corridor outside the dining room, aided and abetted by various dogs.

A small disaster in Ladies' Overflow
Norman had by now progressed as far as Ladies' Overflow with his door installations.  Unfortunately, the process of removing the old frame also took down a significant quantity of plaster from the adjacent wall.  A swift site meeting established that the only thing holding up the remaining plaster was itself.  Plan B was immediately executed and the demolition mob had an unexpected bonus when they were told to clear the entire wall.  It was decided to dry line that part of the room instead.

Tiles and more tiles
Dave Edwards took on the task of finishing off several window sills that had been wrecked when double glazing units were installed.  Sills in the Lab, Long Common Room and Library were quarry tiled.  In preparation for later in the week, the cork and PVC tiles were laid out in the Lab to 'relax' before fitting.

Witchcraft
Despite earlier protestations against jobs involving toilets, drains and sewage, two of the witches became fed up with painting and undertook the cleaning out of the changing room/shower sumps.  This delightful process involves baling out the excess water, then digging out the horrors that lie beneath.  A ladle was 'borrowed' from the kitchen to do this, causing a nasty moment later in the week when it was suspected it had found its way back and was being used to serve the trifle at dinner.

Here be Dragons
The workers were supplied on a daily basis with sandwiches at lunch time, the evening meal, and tea breaks in the morning and afternoon.  Tea was announced by the ringing of the dining room cow bell.  In a break with convention, someone instigated an extra round of tea at 5 p.m. Janine Graham and Cath Leamon were officially installed as new Dragons.

After hours
Most evenings, work carried on right up until dinner at 7.30 p.m., after which everyone retired to the Long Common Room to relax. By this stage in the week, most people had settled into the work routine and were going to bed somewhat earlier.  The beer however, continued to go down at a fairly alarming rate.
