The day of reckoning
With little time left, more jobs were finished off and others frantically worked on.

This was the day when the beer drinkers had to face up to the size of their bar tab and pay off their debts.

Patio seat
With money derived from last year's Working Week and other events, it had been decided to install another seat on the end of the patio outside the cottages.  The final part of the job was completed and the seat firmly attached to the ground.

It is hoped that the increased seating capacity will not result in decreased caving activity, although the local weather pattern should regulate this potential problem anyway.

Would you buy a second-hand car from this man?
Ian wanted to leave, but had problems with his car, recently bought from Graham.  Mr. Christian has developed an uncanny habit of selling on second-hand vehicles very shortly before their belts break.  If you are lucky, like Ian, it is only a fanbelt; for the more unfortunate ones, it is a cambelt.
As ever, a raised car bonnet in the car park quickly attracted a number of onlookers, all of whom offered expert advice.
