The most underground club in Wales? Watch the ITV video.

Welcome/Croeso to the South Wales Caving Club!  We are based in Penwyllt, near Abercraf, fifteen miles up the valley from Swansea. This is where you will find us most weekends. We have around 300 members from all around the UK, and from overseas.

South Wales is one of the finest caving regions in the UK. Directly below our headquarters lies Ogof Ffynnon Ddu and across the valley is Dan-yr-Ogof, two very extensive cave systems. Within easy reach are many other caves. It is also a great area for walking and cycling, bordering on the Black Mountain and the Brecon Beacons.  Half price offer for Provisional Members this year!

So you would like to Try Caving with The South Wales Caving Club?

If you have never tried caving but have had a curiosity about what is involved and what it is like to explore the subterranean world than the weekend that we hold from time to time to attract new Provisional Members may be of interest to you. On these weekends we invite a variety of people from those who have perhaps caved once or twice before to those who have never set foot inside a cave to come and find out what caving with The South Wales Caving Club is all about.

We have a Provisional Members' weekend coming up on the weekend of 5th/6th November. If you cannot make that, our next one will be in March 2017 and then again around Bonfire night in 2017.

Of course if none of these suit, or you just cannot wait, then contact us directly and I'm sure we can sort something out.
