Treasurer Needed - from Paul Meredith

As many of you may know Andy Freem has done an excellent job as our club treasurer for the last 4 years. Regrettably he has decided to stand down and we are now urgently looking for volunteers to stand for election at the AGM to this important post.

You don't need any formal financial qualifications, just an honest persona, a tidy mind and basic IT skills.

This is a key role and one without which the club simply cannot function.

If you think you can help, or would like to discuss the role further, please contact Andy, who will be able to give a lot of support to ease you into the role.

Welcome Louise Naomi - from Paul Craddy

There has been a new arrival in the Craddy family - Louise Naomi Craddy was born on the 2nd Feb 00.02am weighing 3.7kg (8lb 1oz) and 56cm long in Bern, Switzerland. Both mother and baby are doing very well and we are adjusting to life as a family of 4.
[We say congratulations and awwwww - pcw]

Earthquake - from Andy Freem - geological disturbance reporter.

We had a 4.1 Richter earthquake at 13.20 today. Not nice if underground. I was home (Gower) and the house creaked and windows shook for about 1-2 seconds and a quite sharp judder was felt. The noise was a deep rumble like a distant quarry blast. Hopefully , since the epicentre was mid Severn estuary, the caves in the Beacons will have been less vibrated but it will be interesting to see if any straws failure and choke movement is evident.
