Caving Images - Juniper
Gulf, Yorkshire - by PCW
Came across
this iconic photograph of the 50m pitch by Ian Davinson from the
1970s
Somewhat easier
these days on SRT, but no less awesome!

Boulder
Fall in Salubrious Passage
- from Andy Freem
During a trip
into OFD2 with our new members on Saturday last, We noticed a significant
change to the large diagonal block bridging across Salubrious Passage
just upstream of the junction with the Trident & Judge passage.
A block about 3-4 cwt in weight (150-200 kg) had cracked off, slipped
down and was very lightly poised, held above the passageway by a
few millimeters lip. The rock actually blocked the point where caver's
heads pass under. The block fell with just a few seconds wobbling
and without leverage. The remaining much larger boulder bridge looks
sound and the location now seems safe.

New
Secretary - by PCW
We are pleased
to welcome (back) Sue Goodhead as Club Secretary, who has kindly
stepped in until AGM in place of Eleanor who hasn't been well and
has had to stand down. Thanks are due to Eleanor for her work during
the year and we wish her a speedy recovery.
If anyone wants
to get to know how this role works, with a view to taking over after
the AGM in May, Sue will be happy to hear from you secretary@swcc.org.uk
