Who's Coming to 2nd May Party?  12 Apr 2015   read on-line

SWCC 70th Anniversary Questionnaire

There's no doubt that something as significant as our Club's 70th Anniversary demands a really big meal / party / gathering, but we want to get YOUR views as to some of the details, so that we can tailor the event to suit most people. This will take place on Sat 30th April 2016.

Please take a look through the questionnaire here in XL or here in pdf. If you can open XL files you are welcome to fill it out and return it by email, or print out the pdf file and post it in.

We need your replies back to Janine by 8th May (a whole month!) all details are on the form. Any questions please contact her here.

Aspiring Web Journalist Required - by PCW

Hello dear reader. As you'll know (if you've been paying attention :-) I'm stepping down from the Website / Communications role at this AGM after 9 years (quite long enough!).

I've been asked for more detail about what the role involves, and so I've put together a few paragraphs about it:

The Communications / Website Officer is responsible for the Club Website, email lists and the regular E-News bulletins. It is traditionally a Committee role.

The key is to aim to keep everyone informed and connected to each other and to Club life. The website is also our "shop window" to the world for others interested in caving or those with no knowledge of the sport. We are the biggest Caving Club in the UK with hopefully one of the most interesting and informative websites and we want to keep it that way!

You will hopefully be part photographer, part budding journalist, part website designer . . .

Party 2nd May who's coming?

Please get in touch with Vince if you are coming (or thinking of coming) to the Big Marquee Party at SWCC on 2nd May in the evening and want food. Details here.

He and Kim are organising food and would really like to have an idea of numbers. If you're not sure if you're coming or not, can you say 50% likely or 80% likely or something like that. This will avoid them having kittens running up to the day.

Please contact them - on 01639 842503 / 07970 186129 / ofd2@btinternet.com
