Annual
North Wales Mines trip 13/14th June
from Allan Richardson
We are
staying at the Mynydd
Mountaineering Club hut near Trefriw as per last year, I have
booked the whole hut for the Friday and Saturday nights.
With
the agreement between the CCC and the NRW having been finalised,
we can now go down the Parc Mine, this is one of the major mines
of the area. There are a number of other mines in the area which
can be visited with, or without SRT.
The hut
is an excellent base for walking and climbing as it is at the foot
of the Carneddau, there are also a number of Mountain Bike trails
nearby. Staying in the hut or camping outside costs £9 per
person per night.
To secure
a place, please send a cheque to me, made payable to SWCC, for however
many nights you plan to stay, it is possible to stay on the nights
before and after the weekend.
Cheers
Allan
