Flat TV screen for the Library

For the record, the Records Officer is not trying to flout club rules but wishes to make the clubs digital collection more accessible to members whilst at SWCC. We have quite a number of caving DvD’s which are rarely viewed, along with an increasing number of high quality underground videos created by Freem Productions inc, some of which are available on Youtube, the club does however have quite a few of them on the club computer system, as Youtube does’t work very well at SWCC the reason for which you will all be depressingly familiar with. In order to improve the viewing of the digital collection, a reasonable sized flat TV screen is required.

Before the Library becomes a repository for the flat screens you no longer need after Black Friday or your planned splurge on Boxing day, the screen you are disposing of needs to have either HDMI or an Ethernet socket. Also can you please contact the Records Officer before donating your screen to the club. Allan

Derbyshire

After a recent booking at the club we have recieved the following offer from a 'happy camper' from Derbyshire.

"I don't know if any of your members are ever up in Derbyshire caving, if you are just drop me a line, I live in Belper and am caving most weeks, am familiar with all the major systems and trips up here if anyone fancies going for a trip" Contact

Folk Weekend

1st to 3rd July 2016

Harvey is at the early stages of planning an open Folk weekend at the club where members and friends will be invited along and encouraged to play and jam over the course of the weekend. Planning is at an early stage but key features such as a BBQ and perhaps the odd barrel are looking likely at the moment. If you are interested, or have friends you would like to invite please drop Harvey a line.

CHECC

We have recieved a letter of thanks form Laure Benn thanking us for our donation to their prize fund this year, we donated hut nights, huffs and a mug. Most prizes went to Exeter (this year's CHECC Ultimate Caving Club!), but a lucky individual from RUCC won the mug for his fancy dress, pictures not supplied.
