Tunnel Cave (Cathedral)

The key is available from SWCC HQ to all bona-fide cavers for all trips in and out of the top entrance. The tunnel top gate has been modified and is now working as it should be. The handles cannot now be over turned and cause the gate to become jammed shut. It is still recommended that cavers test the mechanism before entering the cave and closing the door. Please keep the gate closed at all times unless you are actually in the process of entering or exiting.

Please note there is currently no access to or from the showcave section of the cave and so access and exit must be made by the top entrance only. Please do not attempt to enter the showcave.

Participation Statement: The SWCC recognises that caving, mine exploration and diving are activities with a risk of personal injury or death. Participants in such activities should be aware and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement. Through its association with the BCA the SWCC recognises that correct training is one way of minimising such risks and provides opportunities for training.
